A top-class field of competitors will line up at the starting line for the women's 200 meters at the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund on February 8, 2026. The field will be led by Talitha Diggs from the USA. She became world champion in 2022 with the American 4x400-meter relay team and was runner-up in the 2024 World Indoor Championships, also with the relay team. With a personal best of 22.45 seconds, she brings absolute top class to Dortmund.
Also in the spotlight: Julia Henriksson (Sweden). The 13-time national title holder holds the Swedish record over 200 meters with 22.69 seconds. From a German perspective, all eyes will be on Jessica-Bianca Wessolly (VfL Sindelfingen). The 200-meter specialist became European champion in 2022 with the German 4x100-meter relay team, is a six-time German champion in the 200 meters, and improved the meeting record in Dortmund to 23.02 seconds last year.
The name Fotopoulou is no stranger to the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund. After Filippa Fotopoulou has competed several times in the long jump, her twin sister Olivia Fotopoulou is now making her debut in Dortmund. She is the Cypriot record holder in the 60 meters, 100 meters, and 200 meters indoors and a 13-time national champion in the 100 and 200 meters. Her personal best: 22.65 seconds.
Aleeya Sibbons (Great Britain) is an athlete who already shone as U23 European champion with the British 4x100-meter relay team in 2023 and also won bronze in the relay at the World Athletics Relays a year later. Her personal best in the 200 meters is 22.98 seconds.
Louise Wieland (Hamburger SV) also has an impressive profile: German indoor champion in 2023, bronze medalist with the 4x100-meter relay team at the 2025 World University Games in Bochum-Wattenscheid, and sixth with the German sprint relay team at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. Her best time in the 200 meters is 23.14 seconds, and her indoor best is 23.51 seconds, set at the Helmut-Körnig-Halle. Also taking part is long-distance sprint specialist Luna Bulmahn (VfL Wolfsburg) – she came fifth in the German 4x400-meter relay at the 2022 European Championships in Munich.
