The Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund on February 8, 2026, will focus on maximum sprint power: Sophia Junk (LG Rhein-Wied), Sina Mayer (LAZ Zweibrücken), and Rebekka Haase (Sprintteam Wetzlar) have confirmed their participation in the women's 60 meters. All three were members of the 4x100-meter relay team that won the bronze medal at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo this summer.

Rebekka Haase is one of the most successful German sprinters of recent years – European relay champion in 2022, medalist at the Olympics (bronze in 2024) and World Championships (bronze in 2022 and 2025) with the DLV relay team, as well as multiple German champion in the 60 meters, 100 meters, and 200 meters. Her indoor strength is underlined by a 60-meter best time of 7.14 seconds.

Sophia Junk arrives with a best time of 7.20 seconds, was a World Championship semifinalist in the 200 meters, and won gold in the 200 meters and silver in the 100 meters at the German Championships in Dresden. Sina Mayer brings a personal best of 7.30 seconds, set at the 2021 Indoor Meeting Dortmund, and won bronze in the 100 meters at this year's German Championships. The field is completed by Viola John (LG Brillux Münster), U23 European bronze medalist in the 4x100-meter relay and with a 60-meter personal best of 7.37 seconds.

Due to the last-minute postponement of the Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe to the same day, the organizers of the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund have made some targeted adjustments to the main program – and are presenting two premieres: the men's long jump is on the program for the first time, and the women's triple jump is also making its debut. Overall, the range extends from short sprints to middle distances and technical disciplines: the men's events include the 60 meters, 400 meters, 1500 meters, 60 meters hurdles, pole vault, and long jump; the women's events include the 60 meters, 200 meters, 800 meters, and triple jump.

“With Sophia Junk, Sina Mayer, and Rebekka Haase, we have a premium sprint field at the start – which promises high-class 60-meter races. The overlap with Karlsruhe was not ideal for us, so we have rescheduled our program to ensure that we continue to have strong fields,” says Yoshi Müller, head of organization for the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund.

Tickets are already on sale at www.reservix.de and at all advance sales outlets connected to the Reservix system. Standing room tickets cost €10, and seats are available in two categories for €20 and €30.
