At the Dortmund Athletics Association's summer party, LG Olympia Dortmund and Sparkasse Dortmund also announced the extension of their partnership for the indoor meeting. At this event, Sebastian Junker, member of the Sparkasse board, and Yoshi Müller, Head of Organization of the Indoor Meeting, also presented the poster for the 2025 event.
“We are delighted to be back as the title sponsor when the athletics elite meet at the Sparkasse Indoor Meeting in the Helmut-Körnig-Halle at the beginning of next year. Supporting competitive sport in the sports city of Dortmund is just as important to us as our commitment to the 600 or so amateur sports clubs,” said Sebastian Junker, who has already been a guest at the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting several times himself, at the LGO summer party on Saturday afternoon.
Top national and international athletes
“Preparations for next year are in full swing and we are already looking forward to another atmospheric athletics festival for the whole family with many top national and international athletes. We are already holding promising talks and we expect to be able to announce the first starters very soon,” reports Yoshi Müller on the current status of planning.At the same time, LG Olympia Dortmund also announced the planned disciplines for the next edition. The women will start on January 18 in the 60 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters and 3,000 meters as well as the long jump. For the men, the program includes the 60 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters and the pole vault. Of course, there will also be a supporting program focusing on the talented young athletes of LG Olympia.
